Jesus is For You

[img:prayer-group]What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

The answer to this question is: a lot.  If God is for you, a lot of the world’s people will go against you.  Remember the prophecy of Christ? (John 15:20) But the essence of Paul’s questioning is not for us to focus on the persecutions and the antagonisms that are set against the people of God; instead, Paul was delivering the point that although a lot will come against you, child of God, none of them will prosper or succeed in destroying you (Isaiah 54:17). The world and all its nonsense can do their best to put you down and shoot their poisonous darts towards us but it will all be of no use.  That is because we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and because of this, we are already saved from the curse of sin.  The devil has no longer any right to torment or bully us. Beloved child of God, if you have accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, you have the entire claim to His promises written in The Bible.  Allow me to share to you a beautiful beautiful (I deliberately said that word twice) promise made by The One who cannot lie and who is seated at the throne in heaven:

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation." Psalm 91:14-16 You see my friend, God loves you more than you will ever know.  He is for you and for me; and that’s why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us on the cross.  Jesus Christ, The Light of The World, The Bright and Morning Star, The Alpha and The Omega; if He is for you, who in the universe can be against you?
