我完全同意使徒雅各的话。阅读圣经或听人讲述圣经是一回事；从中得到启示又是另一回事。然而，如果我们只是把圣经的教导当作普通故事书或仅仅是记录历史的书籍来听，那真的是太委屈自己了。圣经不仅包含这些，还有更多。提摩太后书 3:16 说："圣经都是神所默示的。"圣经包含神自己的话语。这促使我们应该比阅读我们最喜爱的世人所写的书籍更加用心地阅读圣经，并从中获得更多。
