[img:god has it figured out] Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
-Proverbs 3:5-6
The operational words here are “all our heart.” I’ll say it again: “ALL our heart.” The word of God doesn’t say “trust the LORD and your riches” or “trust the LORD and your skills.” All our heart means putting 100% of our trust on God. This Proverb is actually a relief. Thank God that we don’t have to rely on ourselves and on the flesh because the only thing the flesh is good at is on failing! Thus, Solomon’s proverb emphasizes: “Lean not on your own understanding.” Let’s be conscious of God’s hand in our lives; always and in all ways. Know that for every morning that we wake up, for every meal that we eat, for every breath we take, these all happen because The LORD our God allowed it to happen. With this attitude we will live our lives in greater peace because we know that our lives, past, present, and future, are all taken care of by the One who gave up His life for us. We operate in our daily lives knowing that nothing can ever come out of our own effort unless Jesus Christ anoints it.
