Hebrews 11:6a
- It's impossible to please God apart from faith-
By faith Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying. By faith Noah and his family were saved from the flood. By faith Abraham and Sarah were able to have a child at old age. The same with Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the other prophets, that by faith they have died as people who received what God had promised them.
But others were tortured, some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons, some died by stoning, and some were sawed in half. Yet they did not receive all that God had promised, even though their faith had earned them a good reputation. For God had something better in mind for them.
Sometimes, our faith produces for us the things we hope for, other times, it may happen otherwise. But we learn from the examples of great people in the bible that they have faith regardless of their conditions. Because the bible teaches that it is impossible to please God apart from faith. In other words, our faith pleases God.
In every circumstance, keep having faith. God knows best. Even if until the end of our lives, we don’t get all that we hope for, our faith will not be in vain because we have pleased God.
I will keep having faith
Expecting the best from God
Even if not all of them are answered
I will keep having faith
Because my faith pleases God
